We had a great stay at this campground. The sites were large and spread out. The roads were fine for driving through with my camper and tow car. The bathrooms were clean. We will likely stay here again.

Good camping site, clean toilets, many water points, quiet. Beautiful hiking trails close by.

We stayed at Sugarloaf 2 but also drove through Sugarloaf 1 to check it out. Both areas are great. Each site seems pretty comparable. No bad sites and none that really stand heads and shoulders above the others. The adjacent river is very nice and peaceful. We hiked Sugarloaf Middle Mountain right from our site. A great easy to moderate hike. Terrific views. We found the campground to be very quiet. The nearby stores on Route 302 have wood, ice and other staples but not extensive inventory. Plan on bringing most of your food and supplies. Bears are around but we did not see any. Keep your food and coolers in your car when not around the site, even during the day.

I was a little bummed out to see that there were some unattended RV trailers taking up a good fraction of the first-come-first-serve sites early in the week. Otherwise, a great little campground, as it has been since I first started visiting in the 1970s.

Camp is peaceful and clean ,a little tight for trailers over 16ft,road going upbto camp has a lot of holes
