The campground was real nice, especially in that the sites were WELL-spaced! One significant improvement would be repaving, or at least repairing, the road going into the area.

Our favorite campground. We go early in season and during the week. It is very quiet and relaxing. The bathrooms were very clean (although not many people there), and a nice choice of sites. Firewood was not available in the campground so had to go about 4 miles to commercial business for firewood. There was not a host there while we were there, I hope there was someone on weekends when it would be busier.

Sugarloaf II is my new favorite. The sites are well separated and plenty of vegetation for privacy. We have a small trailer and site was easy to back into. We prefer to go mid week and the only noise was the wind blowing the leaves, bird song and an occasional owl.
The access road, however, is in desperate need of repair. There are deep holes in the asphalt and to avoid it, necessary to go into other lane and hope no one is coming.
There is also a dirt road to walk beyond the campground if you are not hiking. It is flat and quite scenic.

We love this campground. Sites are private, toilets are sited so no site has a long walk. The water supply is ample. There is an open field for kids to romp in as well as easy to difficult hiking trails right near by.

Nice basic campground. Well maintained. Most sites are spaced well apart. There were campers there in all types of RV's from class A to Pop-ups to tents. There is a large field at one end of the campground which is a great place to let the kids run around. Hiking trails starting right at the campground. Many other trails nearby. Several streams nearby for fishing. The Mount Washington Cog Railway is a 20 minute ride away. Several small stores nearby.
