Checkin was so easy - just show up and start setting up. Camp host came by to say hi and make sure we had everything we needed. Very quiet, very pleasant, great hiking in every direction. Note that parking in Zealand Falls lot requires a pass - get one before you go. When you get there, you can pay by dropping an envelope in the slot, but they don't tell you how much it is, nor do they provide pens.

Love the area for hiking, waterfalls, and scenic views.

I have loved this place since the late 1970's. It is so close to many hiking trails, waterfalls, scenic rides, and much more.
It was just as I remembered it. I started with a tent may years ago, then a pop-up camper and now a travel trailer with solar power. A few more luxuries, but I still enjoy the sound of the river and the views from atop the mountains!
I just wish the pit toilets could be upgraded somehow.

No fire wood is sold here, only vaulted toilets and no hook ups.

This campground is super clean, scenic, accessible to wonderful hiking trails and also amenities in a nearby town. The staff at the campground are nothing less than fabulous. they are helpful, will chat but will also respect your privacy. they are super knowledge too.

We enjoyed the fact that most campsites are shaded and offer privacy. We also took advantage of local hiking, biking, and the Zealand River which is very clear and runs by the campground.
