We travel nearly fulltime in a Class C Motorhome. We tried to add two days in front of our reservation just days in advance, but recreation.gov would not allow it per the campground which puts all open sites to First Come First Served a few days before. We arrived at 9:00 a.m. on that date 2 days in advance, but it was very difficult finding an appropriate site as you drive around the campground for the first time looking for an available site. It would be much better to allow reservations up to the day of arrival. With that said, we lucked into Site 23 which was a great site with electricity, lots of shade, fairly level, and close to bathrooms - it was among the best sites at the campground. If you haven't been there before, navigating the campground is a bit confusing, but once there it begins to make sense. We hiked up one of the trails from the campground up the mountain a ways before we turned around. Dump station was great, but only one for such a large campground.
