Site 7. Great size for a 22 travel trailer. Road noise was not an issue. No dump station. No cell service. Amazing little spot! Hike the Roost, Royce Mtns East and West. Brook behind campground. Open grass area for frisbee.

If you really want to get away from a busy schedule and to-dos, this is an awesome campground. Because of availability, we had to move twice while there but the spots we had were quite nice. They were easy to get in to and felt secluded enough from the other campers. We love our time here.

This was a beautiful place to camp with my two daughters and our dog. The campsite was well-maintained and felt private. The hosts were kind and attentive. There are plenty of hiking trails and swimming holes nearby.

Ive been camping at Hastings my whole life. Im 49 and its my go to spot. However Im extremely disappointed that the national forrest service wont fix the dirt road going along wild river. They could fix it to the Maine line at least. By not fixing it we lose 2-3 miles of river to fish. Last year they had locals offer to fix the road for nothing and chose to deny them due to liabilities. I call bs. By not fixing the road its one less campground to take care of. They roofed one of the 2 bathrooms that have needed it for 20 years. Why not do both. Do better.

We loved this campground - quiet, clean, off the beaten track. Shhh.... don't tell people!

The sites are well spaced for privacy and the campground is, overall, quiet and peaceful. Easy walking access to the Wild River and hiking trails. The firewood available at the host's site was good and dry, although not cheap ($8 per bundle). We had an excellent stay.

Beautiful campground but the site we had had some litter from the previous occupants.

Lovely spot in the Whites, well-managed and with clearly marked campsites. Will be back again!

Beautiful Evans Brook behind my site! So refreshing on those hot summer days!

Very remote, no cell, perfect

The campsites are nice and spaced a little further away from each other than most with more privacy. The river is a short walk for a dip. Gorham is close for re-supply. The host is knowledgeable and helpful.

The campground is walking distance to several trails and has a camphost.

I loved my site I picked for the 2nd time going there. One suggestion have smaller tables so a screen house could fit over it. Might want the host to look at the table part of it is rotted away.

A hidden gem! We camped here in mid-August during the week and only 3 other campsites were being used. Very quiet, plenty of trees/vegetation between each of the sites. Our site has a little path leading down to the small brook, so peaceful! Camphost had firewood for sale for $8, so we had a nice fire on a cool evening. Bathrooms were tidy and well-stocked.

Awesome place to camp ! Ive been going to this camp ground since I was a kid . Definitely worth the trip to get away from the world .

The campground itself was great. It was clean, the sites were very well spaced and even being 65-75% full and with families it was quiet. The only drawback was the pit toilets which hadnt been cleaned out in a LONG time and were VERY smelly by the day we left. More attention should be given to those by the host.

Nice if you're trying to go hiking in the White Mountains. Not as close as some of the other campgrounds, but still close enough to get out and experience the area!

This is a nice quite campground. Best smelling (least smelly) vault toilets ever! Manual water pump, lack of hose connection, lack of filling or dump station is a bit odd. Location was convenient for our touring plans. There is a nice stream nearby, but we didn't wade or swim.

What a peaceful, quiet place. This was our 4th stay...we use it as a great and convenient stopover between Vermont and Maine.
@MichelleS85055 · Camped on Sep 8, 2023 at Campsite #20
Beautifully maintained and quiet campground that appeals to the whole family! Campsites with brook access and Wild River is just a hop and a skip away. Plenty of fish to catch, trails to hike and memories to make. The owls calling in the night are remarkable! Can't wait to return.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
