Wonderful campground. We have a 38 foot 5th wheel and site 38 worked out great for us. It is a pull-through and we had enough room. Had the entire loop to ourselves for most of our stay. An extra bonus was there was a large open area in the trees so we were able to charge with our solar panels. The only negative things I would say is that the entry door is on the opposite side of the "camping" area and we had to back out of the spot due to two large trees. It was impossible to pull forward.

Great tree filled campground. Very clean and well maintained. Sites are not too close and while our trailer door was on the opposite side of our 5th wheel door, we made due. Close to town of Newhalem as well as the North Cascades Visitor Center and made seeing Lake Ross Recreational area easy. The trails around the campground were generally well marked and our pup enjoyed being able to go on them.

Big campground with lots of privacy. Clean. Tons of local small trails right from the campground from all 3 loops. Visitor center for the park was a short drive or an easy trail hike away.

Note: Spot 38 is a great spot but if you have a trailer door on the passenger side it’s best to enter the campground going against traffic as the spot faces the road in the normal direction.

We found this to be a great base for exploring the area. Diablo Lake and Ross Lake are nearby, and there's a nice little walk to the Skagit River. Looked like many of those at the campground came there to kayak/raft/etc the river, but we just came to enjoy the mountain air and tranquility, and really enjoyed it.

Very quiet as we were only 1 of 3 sites occupied! Nice sites, level, good privacy and spacing. Easy walk to visitor center, which wasn't open, but did have a ranger and volunteer outside to hand out info and answer questions. Plenty of hikes that we enjoyed. I would recommend. I didn't give an "excellent" because the dump station was closed. Would like to go back
