One of the best campgrounds I visited and we camp frequently! Well maintained with hiking trails and a great visitor center. Only suggestion would be to add showers.

Fantastic campsite, very flat and peaceful, plenty of nice walks near the campground along the Skagit River.

We loved our time spent at Newhalem campground! Beautiful national park with the most beautiful, color of water that we have ever seen. The campground itself was very pretty with a great trail down to the river. Our campsite was not very private and that was the only drawback.

Only downside is the spaces are tight and there is very little separation between each site, meaning everyone can see and hear their neighbors. But the area is gorgeous and there are a lot of fun places to hike.

Great first experience! We loved having a bear cubby, grill pit and a table at our campsite. Loop A, Site 11 is a great spot! Close to the restrooms, close but not too close. Wed recommend to anyone.

No-hassle arrival, easy access to gas/food in Marblemount (more extended hours than in Newhalem). Proximity to Thornton Lakes trailhead made the hike a must-do - although take care with the trailhead road as it is very steep and bumpy in places.
