Loved the simplicity of arriving at our site and seeing the reservation tag with our name on it. The campground was well maintained and our fellow campers were polite and respectful. Proximity to the river and visitor's center was appreciated.

Really great campground. Most sites seemed like a good size with decent privacy. Good bathrooms. Picnic shelter with sink. The website mentions that there is a dam nearby and sirens that signal high-water danger. However, we couldnt find any additional info on site. The siren is also apparently used every day for lunch break. And when the air-raid/zombie-apocalypse sounding siren went off after dark, we had no info on whether we needed to get the heck out or not.

This a great campground next to the town of Newhalem. The store had popcorn for 65 cents and the most delicious handmade ice cream treats (as well as the usual). The welcome center across from the store has all the North Cascades trinkets you may want. The campground was quiet and very clean. The trail that went to the river and Visitors Center was great. I never saw a camp host. I would definitely recommend the campground.

Great location, close to Diablo Lake, sites well situated in the woods which was great since temps were in the 90s. Nice trails from the campground!

This was our favorite campground during our 5 week trip. It was quiet and we loved the location. We also loved all of the trails leaving right from the campground and that they were dog friendly. And a visitor center within walking distance.

Beautiful campground in the heart of the North Cascades. Friendly ranger and good camping spots. Restrooms were good and reasonably clean, especially for a campground. The only thing that would make this excellent is if showers were installed as I was there for about three or four days and couldve used one. Great nature trails around for the family as well with longer hikes not too far away. Beautiful trees! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Terrific campsite and very close to Diablo lake. The other campers were very courteous, bear boxes are supplied at each site, the bathrooms were clean, and the potable water spigot was next to the bathrooms. Just remember to pick up firewood before you get there. The closest place is about 10 miles west of the campground.

Quiet, peaceful, beautiful, secluded sites with lots of hiking. We loved our stay. Only downside I found were people dont respect or they simply cant read the mask mandate request for inside buildings (bathrooms). Sad reality of our society.

Camp sites were nice, roomy. Facilities were very lacking with no showers and no dump station. Per the staff the dump station at BOTH campgrounds were 'broke'. Restrooms at visitor center were closed due to COVID and replaced with porta potties which made no sense. The campground and park were beautiful overall but the park seems to have severe management issues. Some really awesome hikes in the park.
