A family favorite! We love Colonial Creek Campground in the heart of the North Cascades. With wonderful, quiet, wooded campsites and excellent proximity to the lake. Easy access to hiking and only an hour from charming Winthrop. We make Colonial Creek Campground, a yearly destination for our summer camping trips.

Beautiful site, fairly private and close (but not too close) to the flush toilets. Everything is well maintained and the lake is gorgeous. Would totally camp here again.

Campground was clean and the sites were very large - providing more than enough space for 2-3 tents if needed. Hiking trails and the lake are all within the park which makes it easy to park and not have to leave the campground for weekend if preferred. Also close to many other hiking and climbing destinations. The only downside of this campground is that they didn't have any firewood so you have to go back toward town which is a bit of a drive.
