If you arrive without a reservation it is difficult to reserve a site because Recreation.gov does not work smoothly using a phone. It may because the cell reception is low? It took us about 1/2 hour to successfully reserve our site. Other folks were unable to make a reservation using Recreation.gov so they did not stay. The campsite was basically empty. It would be useful to have a kisok payment system in place - Death Valley NP (Mesquite Flats) has a kiosk where you use a credit card to pay for your site.

Not a good campground if you’re looking for privacy. Sites are very uneven and don’t have good areas for tents. Generators running all day (if you need power, go to a campground with hook ups!). Beach is nice but VERY busy.

We initially booked a campsite at some banks down the road. When we showed up it look like a Kid Rock party. We pack up our stuff and went to Spring Bank and had an absolutely wonderful experience. They have a great beach, a dock to dive off of and the overall campsite was just great.
