Campground a short distance, couple of miles, from the dam. Campground is basis but defiantly stop at the dam visitor center.

Amazing campground. Always clean and inviting. Generator run times need to change to shorter Hours to prevent rude campers with cheap generators from ruining other camping experience.

It's kind of "parking lot" camping. You won''t be miles, or even yards, from your neighbor. Recreation.gov doesn't describe the campsites at all well. The upper loop is mostly unshaded, while the loop below has canopies over each site. If you choose one of these sites, there are height restrictions.

Spring canyon is well taken care of - the bathrooms are clean and there are nice grassy areas. Our only complaint was how close the campsites are to each other. We were surrounded by big groups but everything quieted down by 10 pm. The beach area is beautiful and the little nature hike was an added bonus.
