Very quiet, mostly empty campground for the whole 12 days that we stayed there. Excellent hiking and biking opportunities near the campground. Gunfire from the Quantico Firing range could be heard, but it was very very distant. Not disruptive or concerning in the least bit. Shower house was very recently renovated and ranks as the nicest shower house I've seen in the entire National Park System. However, it is infrequently cleaned, perhaps due to low usage of the campground. We used this campground as base camp for exploring Washington DC during our stay. It was about 80 minutes drivetime to downtown Washington during mid-morning traffic.

The camp sites were good and the bathrooms were excellent. However, we intentionally chose a site to be close to the bathrooms and utility sink, but the utility sink was closed so we had to use one in a different area that was much further away and rather inconvenient. Be aware that Quantico is nearby and it is common to hear aircraft and weapons being fired.

Always a great time at Oak Ridge! New fire rings are turning out awesome.

Very nice and quiet with easy access to trails. The only down side was that we arrived a day late due to rain, but a guy was in our reserved space. Luckily, the campground was fairly empty and the camp hosts suggested we take another spot which actually ended up being a better spot. The Park Police approached the guy and had him move, but we later saw the guy on another loop. Facilities were nice and the bathrooms okay. Not spotless, but not gross. I hiked 2 trails. There wasn't much to see, but I appreciated their proximity to everything.
