The grounds were as clean as nature can be, and the sites around for hiking were great. I was also impressed by the bathroom and SHOWER facilities, both exceptionally clean. Could just be me but ive never had either where ive gone before so it was a pleasant surprise. Also we weren't bothered at all by other campers (not to mention people that use RV's are seperated from those who want a real camping experience haha) or forest patrol lile iv'e seen some people say. In fact when i first arrived we were greeted by a kind gentleman who helped us get the lay of the land and with anything else we needed. Overall the Oak Ridge campgrounds were everything i could have imagined, highly reccomend.

I was at the C grounds in July and first thing I noticed was the sites were closer together than I thought. Not that much privacy. And it was extremely hot and couldnt sleep at alland bugs flying, bird noises throughout the night. I thought about leaving the day we got there, but stayed for one night and left at the break of dawn. Maybe our timing was off and maybe its better during cooler seasons.

Not very crowded, so my camp area was quiet. Enjoyed hiking on the trails. The restroom area was clean, had tp, and water at the pump.

The C loop spots are spaced out enough that you feel a bit of privacy. Bathrooms are clean and convenient. Trails are beautiful and easy to navigate. The campgrounds were quiet after 10pm and people were generally respectful. Would return!
