We enjoyed our first time at Rudds Creek. Its a beautiful campground with lots of shade, nice sized sites, some with great water views, and nice shower houses with hot water. The couple working the front gate were very helpful and friendly. There was music in the amphitheater on Friday late afternoon, a small beach area and pavilion. We especially enjoyed biking around the campground and wished it we had brought our kayaks.

Almost every campsite on the outer part of the park you can drag a kayak through the woods and straight into the water. It was such a unique campground because of this. We loved it. Really clean park and facilities. It was quiet, too. If youre tent camping, just know you may hear cars crossing the nearby bridge all throughout the night. Only thing that wouldve made it better was if the shower houses had soap in them at the sinks; they were empty the two days we were there but we figured wed be alright with hand sanitizer that we packed for tent camping.

Took my boys here to unplug. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. Our camp area offered enough privacy without being a walk-to site, and it was a very short walk for lake access. The boys LOVED paddling and beginning on the lake the boaters and other campers where very courteous. The swimming area and playground were also well kept. This location is enough to shopping for grabbing those forgotten items, but far secluded enough to really enjoy being outdoors.
