This is a beautiful park with a clear clean lake and forests. Paddling and fishing are amazing here. There is a nice bike trail and great picnic areas and beaches. The website clearly states that they have a limit of people per site, which is six. Several of the groups in our area had twice the number of people, and three vehicles. The large size of the groups adds stress due to the closeness of sites in the loop we where located in. Park staff was aware of the situation. Why bother having rules when you don't enforce them? The loop only had two restrooms, one for men, and one for women. Having double the amount of campers per site made the restroom situation impossible and unsanitary.

I camped at North Bend in mid-October in Loop B close to the lake. North Bend is full of lovely wooded sites, level gravel pads and is easy to maneuver in to and out of. The beach was clean and the view was spectacular. I chose a site with power and water, and both functioned well. There is a nice, level walking path throughout the park, though without many views of the lake.

Very clean quiet and lovely! Staff was quite friendly and helpful! The lake and private beaches were so close to our campground only 2 minute walk. Absolutely loved it!We used 30 amp electric and water and their dump station upon exit. All were in excellent order.

It was a very easy check in and a nice quite weekend. The only thing I wish the campground had was sewer hookups at the camp sites. Other than that is is a great place to stay.

Love camping here. Enjoying spending most of the time in the park and enjoying nature. We have attended special events in the town of South Hill which has a lot of shopping as well for anything you may have forgotten.

Several campers played their music loud. The rangers did a nice job of handling the issue We enjoyed our stay

I have visited North Bend Park since I was a little girl and have always loved it! There are a couple of drawbacks that I have always wanted to share--the sewage is not at the campsite, you have to unhook everything and take it to the sewage site or have on portable dumping tank. In addition, many of the nicer sites on the loop that we like to be in are walk-up only and that is not fair to visitors who come from far away. You need to be able to make reservations on all sites, especially those on the water.
