NB park is more of a short-stay-trailer park. Most of the "campsites" have electricity service box and a water standpipe. Sites are closely spaced so you have to accept some noise from neighbors. Worst is people who bring dogs and let them bark constantly. There is one section that has NO electric service but isn't open but a few months of the Summer season. ("A" section) and the sites tend to be inclined. No fun in a sleeping bag.Place is well kept and also has heated shower in cold season with reduced site fee. Nice if you like outdoors all year long. Bathhouses/Toilets are well kept and have heated (seldom above warm) water in showers. There are several "public" beaches still with plenty of sand. There is a store and restaurant a few miles drive with basics. The Pizza place is great - always good food there (not Open Mondays). For ??? reason - 2022 saw change in check-in/out. In @ 1600 and OUT @ 1400. Well, if you have a long drive (hours) leaving @ 1400 is probably good.If you have a short drive (Say Raleigh, NC) the check-out @ 1400 is annoying as you don't get much of your day other than having breakfast and packing to leave. I "rent" the campsite to include the next day after having to leave so we can stay as late as we want. NB Park is a nice place to "get away from city life" but with nice bathhouse/toilet faLake is a flood control lake so sometimes lake is "to full" and there are no beaches not covered in water. Weekends are busy - Tues/Wed/Thurs tend to be the quietest.NB Park is one of the best on the lake (NC and VA have park/campgrounds too) - However many are closed when cold season starts. NB Park open all year except when someone decides to "close" the park due to weather. (Usually due to effects of hurricane remnants. Complaints? City slickers that bring "street lights" and also leave on bright-white lights all night. Also run air-conditioner fans constantly. On a no-wind night - the noise of fans permeates all over.

Beautiful campground. Well maintained with clean restrooms. Waterfront sites are amazing. Was there when weather was perfect. They had started winterizing so not running water was at the site. Loved the 2 tier campsite which had a lot of privacy. Definitely will visit again.

The site was clean and pristine when we arrived; the restrooms were clean as usual; and the staff were over the top polite and helpful. Noth Bend is by far our favorite campground.

This site is extremely uneven, rough, rutted gravel surface. The storm water drainage primarily affects this site. I advised the Ranger of this matter.
