Beautiful campsite, right on the water. Super friendly, knowledgeable camp host, Sandra. Clean bathhouse. Lots of shade.

Very nice campground. Park staff was super helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend this campground.

Badly eroded shoreline made getting down to the lake difficult and dangerous. Also had the most frightening camping experience of my life after park manager told a highly agitated man with a day pass that there was a single woman camping alone in the park. The man came to my campsite and would not leave because he thought I might be someone he met on the internet who was playing games with him. Then tried to hook up with me regardless, ignoring my making it clear I was not at all interested. The clueless (or vindictive?) park manager said I could have resolved the situation by driving away (leaving the angry stranger alone In my campsite with all my belongings!). Also said I should never have spoken to the man despite having directed him to me! Then said he would make a note that I wanted no visitors, as if an unhinged stranger desperate to hook up with a woman could possibly be described as a visitor. I think he and his wife believed I had it coming for camping alone. Felt like going back in time fifty years. A real wake up call about backward attitudes in that part of the region. Will stay clear of it in the future.

Great place to camp with a tent. Very shaded & large campsites with good spacing in between camp sites. More privacy. Can easily fit 2- tents. One is a tent pad & the other area by the pull through driveway. Metal pole to hang a light, fire pit with metal grate & large picnic table. The sites around the lake do not have water or electricity but a water area is conveniently located by the lake area sites. 2- Bathhouses with 3 toilets & 2 showers each. They are both handicap accessible. 2swimming areas & a playground for children. RV sites available @ the front of the campground. Wood for the fire pit is available @ the gate for a minimum fee. A convenient store L& M Mart about 10 minutes away for gas , grocery items & fishing bait. Very nice people. The park attendants were very nice & helpful for any issues that came up. Highly recommend this camp experience. Love Horseshoe Point!
