We didn’t really use any facilities, but the camp site was pretty good

We go every year to Granite Flats! Love the shade this area provides. Great for families. But this was the second year a skunk waddled into the site at night. No inhibitions. Its clear they come for the food. So have the site cleaned up by 8:30 PM and that seems to be what prevents the unwanted visitors from making an appearance.

We used Stone Mason, one of the group sites at Granite Flat and arrived around 2:30 for an evening Family reunion. We used a couple of pop up shade canopies because the sun angle makes this site pretty hot during the mid-day hours. The site is set between to streams so you you get good air flow and the kids love playing in steam. The site is surounding by large conifer and other deciduous trees and is adjacent to a large field with ball diamonds and horse shoe pits.
I continually heard this place is beutiful from all of my relatives.

We LOVE this campground! So lush and green. The sites are huge, with lots of space in between them. You never feel very close to other campers. Tons of boulders, thickly forested terrain, streams, and places for the kids to explore. The scenery is amazing with lots of hikes In the area. Every day, we go over to the grass field near the entrance, which is a great place to throw a frisbee and play other games. There is Zero cell reception so everyone is literally and completely unplugged. So quiet and peaceful, and such a beautiful place, which is amazing since its only 20 minutes up the canyon from the city. We stay here every year, and will continue the tradition for a long time!

Great place to camp. Beautiful setting. You can just hang out at camp or hike surrounding area.
