The lake was a quick walk from camp. With many pretty hikes in the area. With lots of wild flowers. Campsite had a few spots to set up tents, and nice and quiet.

The second and third week of July is the peak time to see the flower display. We hit it at the peak as we do every year. The flies were not out yet and the mosquitoes are just coming out but not that many. There is no potable water but there may be next week (July 13, 2020) if the water passes the state inspection. But call ahead to make sure. Other that an extremely loud generator a couple of sites away the trip was perfect. The campgrounds and restrooms were cleaner that I have ever seen them thanks to the efforts of the campground hosts (Mitch and Tami Brown) who were as helpful as any we have encountered anywhere. I have been to Tony Grove every year for at least 60 years and this trip ranks up there right at the top. No cell phone service unless you drive 10 miles toward Bear Lake or hike 2 miles west to the top of the mountain.
