The campground was great, the Camp Hosts were very helpful to work with. But after 4 or 5 years of no water at in camp is getting a little old, you have to make an all most 4 mile, 45 minute round trip on a dirty, rocky, washboard roads to get 5-10 gals of water. In years past some campgrounds have given us a discount this inconvenience

Campground is beautiful but hosts were pretty lame. It clearly states no more than 8 people per individual site. We NEVER book sites next to group sites due to the number of people and noise levels. We came back to our camp site to find 3 large wall tents set up next to us. 18-20 girl scouts at the INDIVIDUAL site for sleeping, and the party site for at least 10 more people every night. Quiet hours were not observed or enforced. And to make matters worse, there was a group site that was open the ENTIRE time. But it was across from the camp host, so maybe they dont enjoy all the noise either. It also says there are no off road vehicles allowed in the campground, yet every single day they were driving around and had to pass the host site to enter. Maybe the hosts are just for stocking the toilet paper.

The campground manager / host goes above and beyond. Always makes sure campers questions are met. Some less than intelligent and drunk guy decided to practice shoot toward campground. The Camp host manager immediately resolved a tense and very dangerous situation using tact to persuade the highly arm d and drunk man to leave the area as other armed campers closed in the confront the guy. Local authorities were notified and man was arrested as he left the area. This is a beautiful campground but it hasnt had water for a number of years - waiting for Army Core of engineers to bring local spring up to safe standards. Overall good campground!
