We stayed in site 27 in Loop B for 3 nights in our travel trailer & didn't want to leave! The ranger, Roger was super friendly & helpful, answering all our questions (as it was our first time here). If you visit, I suggest you stay in Loop B! Loop A is mostly crammed together & some spots are on top of others & not private at all. Some sites in loop B are literally on the side of the mountain & only suitable for tents.
If you are trailer/rv folks, Loop A provides paved driveways, Loop B is all dirt. Loop B is by far the best in my family's opinion! The best bookable RV sites are: Loop B - #25, #26, #27, #33 (Roger said #25 & #33 were the favorite sites). The best RV sites in Loop A: #5, #7, #11 & #13. If you go without a reservation, I suggest #23, a pull-thru site right next to the creek!
The group camp is right on the creek and the best group camp I've ever seen. Perfect for large families, church camp, scouts....
The only downside is the lack of privacy, as people will walk thru your site, especially when its full. Watch out for bear poo, its literally everywhere, so watch where you walk! :) If you are tent campers, be sure to use those bear-proof lockers. We didn't see or hear any bears, but Roger confirmed they are out there!
Please be responsible pet parents: clean up after your dog & keep them on a leash/tie down/dog pen at ALL times! 2 large dogs weren't leashed & ran up to our dogs & was annoying. Please be respectful of other campers & their dogs!
You will NOT be disappointed camping here, unless you don't do your research & end up booking a site not compatible for your style (or u get one next to the pooper like #32!)
