Campground was clean and the camp host was EXCELLENT! We had a fabulous camping trip.

The bathrooms are and campsites are really close together and smells awful.. if you're looking for fresh air and seclusion this is not the place and the creek is barely a creek!

While camp sites can be close, the creek and trails are wonderful for kids.

Recreation.gov said the site was closed and I would get a full refund. I called the ranger station and they told me it was closed, along with all of Tonto, until the end of July. I have not received a refund and there doesn’t appear to be any way contact Recreation.gov for a refund, ask questions, etc.

If you have any questions about trails etc. the camp host, Roger, was awesome!
It was the first time we took my granddaughter camping and she loved it.
It is now our 4th generation camping at Christopher Creek.

Our campsite #8 was very dusty, it got everywhere like powder, and we were a little too close to the toilets to avoid the smell. The camp hosts were great and provided firewood for us every night for a small fee.
