Location = right in the scenic drive. Bison hanging out right near campground entrance! Campground was busy but quiet. Ranger came to enforce quiet time.

Love the park. Campground is not well maintained, but ok.

Love love love this campground! So much space between sites to allow you to feel like you have some privacy and are truly in nature!

Spots are tight for big rigs so do your research but this location is absolutely beautiful. Bathrooms are modern and new with hot water and flush toilets but NO Showers.Book in advance as it fills up quick. We stayed on spot 31 with a 33 TT and it fit fine.

Beautiful campground. Quiet and Peaceful! Used the potable water and nice, clean restroom.

The volunteer site host was appalling.

Host was very friendly and stopped to share stories. Horses and bison right in the campground! Even though you can have generators, did not hear many, it was very quiet! Big rig friendly-we are
a 36’ Class A.

Nice private, pull through site. Lots of trees/vegetation. Very clean and modern bathhouse. Great shower!

Happy with the site & location. The only downside was the restroom on our end of the campground was under reconstruction so had to walk to the other end of the loop to use the facilities.

Some nice pull-thru sites, some are very small and oddly spaced. No electric or water hookups, but water spigots are easy to find. Brand new bathroom building, but wish theyd put in showers.

The sites were nice enough. Our particular site was kind of cramped because we didnt have a lot of options for where to put our tent. Then our dining fly was pretty much hitting into the trees, but because we couldnt move the fire pit, that was the only way. Also, we didnt know that the convenient bathroom we chose to camp near was going to be completely torn down. There werent even any portapotties in its place. We eventually found the nice newer bathrooms by the beginning of the loop but it was frustrating trying to get there in the dark got the first time when our bathroom should have been like 10 steps behind our tent. Otherwise, the campground was enjoyable.

We camped at Cottonwood in our 27' travel trailer, site 31. The site was more than adequate for our camper and mostly level. The restrooms were clean and well-kept. The volunteer staff was friendly, especially when our departure was delayed due to a power failure in our camper. We would definitely stay there again!

Bicycling the 20 mile loop is challenging but highly rewarding.
@BillS4028348 · Camped on Aug 28, 2019 at Campsite #31
bison in the campsite were pretty cool, but a little unnerving.
