Campsite 53: access to river, close to bathroom, great views, some shade. While in camp we were able to watch wild turkeys, wild horses, and bison near the river. The wild horses actually came close enough that you could hear them enter the river. We had a decent amount of shade and the bathrooms were close, but not too close.

Site 53 is the best tent site in the campground. It overlooks the river. We had bison walk right through our site one morning! We watched bison and a herd of wild horses across the river from the site. This site accommodates a medium to large size tent. The bathroom close by is brand new.

A lovely location with a private path to the river. Restrooms are clean. A bison visited the campground. Highly recommend.

Lovely spot along the Little Missouri River. Bathrooms were always clean and well stocked. Highly recommend staying at this campground.

Hubby and I came in early spring (May6-9) not knowing what to expect as were from Arizona. We did not need shorts! The weather was crisp, but not cold. Great for being outdoors. We were delighted to have bison as neighbors but kept stealthily away from them. Flocks of wild turkeys were about, with the males displaying their plumage to the females. The prairie dogs were active, and we got some great photos. Shy deer appeared at sundown. Its a wonderful place with large sites and little interaction with other campers. We recommend it!

This campground was lovely. The sites were spaced out a bit to give some privacy and mine was very easy to back into. The views from my site were amazing - across the river with a lot of wildlife viewing. There were bison in the campground all day, which was a fun experience. I camped the first week in May and the only bathroom available was on the other loop, so it was a bit of a walk each time. Other than that it was great!

Obwohl riesig, sehr netter Campground mit abgeschlossenen Sites, vor allem für Zelt-Camper!

The campground host was extremely friendly and helpful. Restrooms were well maintained, but two of them were unavailable during our stay, appearing to be being rebuilt. No dishwashing - maybe would be part of the rebuilt restrooms?

We saw wild horses and bison across the river from our campsite, and a baby owl near the entrance. The scenic drive is amazing.

No firewood on site, so pick some up on the way in no later than Medora.

No water available anywhere in the campground made our visit challenging. There was only one distant restroom nearby.

Great site along the Little Missouri. Enjoyed watching the wild horses and bison coming to the river to drink. Host, Jeff, was outstanding in his knowledge (a former national park's ranger) and willingness to help or advise.

I was surprised by the beauty of the park. I enjoyed my morning coffee watching a Buffalo graze across the river. It is on my come back to bucket list.

Wonderfully maintained, excellent setting (along the river amidst wildlife), easy access to water spout, and perfectly spaced out for campsite privacy. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful campsite backing onto the river. Campground was well maintained. Campsites not huge, but privacy was decent. Very pleased with my trip.
