Site 9 had a beautiful view of the river and landscape. We had plenty of room for our tent and a short walk to the bathrooms.

Just a beautiful place to camp. We love the wildlife in and around the campground.

Was a nice campground. Best thing was there were buffalo all over the campground when I woke up in the morning. That was pretty cool!

We camped at Cottonwood campground in a 5th wheel RV. Our site was easy to get in. Of course at least some hookups would be nice but we were fine for a few days. The site was private and the view was wonderful from our picnic table. One evening a bison walked right by our RV! We really enjoyed our stay.

The campground was nice but no dump station is available. Hard to stay too long. For such a nice park, the camping amenities need upgrading.

Cottonwood Campground is nice! It has multiple sites and are all well kept and clean. My only complaint is the fact that the sites was a little small for our tent, which was 10 feet by 16 feet. The drive in part was big enough for the tent however. We had number 9.

Great site. Plenty of shade. Even saw a bison in the field behind our site.

We were in site 09 by the creek. Its a gorgeous spot and a very pretty campground, but lots and lots of bugs, especially during midday. We also saw Bison walking around the campground so be safe and give them their space! I would recommend bringing a headnet or mosquito net to this campground.

This has been one of the best parks and campgrounds we have been in. Sites are very large and arranged so that you feel you are alone with no close neighbors. Enjoyed the nearness of the buffalo. It was laid out a little strange, following the traffic pattern our exterior door would not open to the picnic table area. We did some maneuvering to make it so.

The rain was heavy at times. Our site #9 needed a little more gravel to eliminate the water puddles and mud. A nice site with views to the river and the bluffs beyond. New restroom facilities with flush toilets, but we were a week too early, the doors were locked and the water had not been turned on yet. Plenty of trees for shade. Our stay was 5-11 to 5/14 2022.

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in the month of Sept. Our site had plenty of parking space, some privacy due to the trees and foliage. Our particular site had a trail that went down to the water and over looked a prairie setting with some mountains in the back ground. The people who ran the campground were very nice and there are trails that lead to the restrooms with running water and real toilets (that makes me VERY happy!) but no showers. You can shower at campground just outside the park off the main road in town for a small fee. The road to get to the campground is in the park, has beautiful views and you see plenty of wildlife. The only down fall were the mosquito's were TERRIBLE! They came in clouds and bite through clothes.

What a surprise it was to camp in this lovely valley. Sunrise bathed the cliffs in stark color. Sunset and star rise were subtle in their beauty. A wonderful experience.
