We kind of stayed in the off season before the 4 of July. It was quiet and peaceful. The host are unbelievably nice & helpful. We will continue to stay there.

Host were very nice. We had a tornado warning and they rounded everyone up and directed us as where to go for safety. Campground was clean. We will be back.

Very clean campground. Well maintained. Nice walks and bike riding. Austin and Waco made for a couple of nice day trips. Fishing and setting around a campfire just relaxing gave us a very nice week. See you next year.

the gate attendant on sunday was very nice. the park was clean and very enjoyable.

We had a lovely and quiet time being pretty much the only ones there during the week. We. Don't. Do. Weekends. :)
Disappointed that the "swimming beach" was closed and the site we were in didn't have much of a view of the lake but it was the only one that showed "available" at the time. Turns out there were empty sites the whole time we were there which infuriates us. If you're not gonna show, don't book and then not cancel so that it can be available to others. A little common courtesy has gone out the window these days I guess. Makes me sad.
Overall.....great park! We love pretty much all the COA parks. So much room and kept up.
Host Steve Freeman is cool. He's in the business of making sure we're all Happy Campers. :)
He couldn't do anything about the mosquitoes though. :(

Front gate not staffed anymore, and worked by volunteers when someone is there. Very little sign of patrols like they used to do, has definitely gone down hill.

Nice park, level spots, great protected fishing area. Just wish they had some trails at this park.

Probably the better camping spot on Granger lake. Can get sites that give you a view of the water, and have paths down to the shore.

The only problem we had were the honey bees but we learned how to deal with them without scaring them or killing them. We need the honey bees. The site was perfect and we had a great time.
