The toilet were full and over flowing at boat ramp area behind my camp has alot of trash . No one was there for check in .again alot of trash behind camp spots. Never saw any body who works there. Doesn't look like it is being taken care of very well

This is a nice park with a lot of spots that are flat and easy to hook up. There are a few that have a bit of an incline. There are armadillos that will root through your garbage at night so do not leave it out unless you want to clean up a mess. Also there was a bit of a bird problem in this spot last visit... very pretty red birds kept landing o my rig and dumped loads of white SH** all over. It's like they were flys... land dumb and fly off. Cell reception can go from okay to absolutely horrible depending on the spot. This particular spot was terrible for Verizon. Be careful if you go to the lake shore as the ground is very much a sticky clay mess a lot of the time and it's pretty easy to wreck your shoes. This park can sometimes get smokey and noisy on the weekends.

Always a good camping experience, great facilities, and wonderful time to get away from things, unplug and enjoy some nature! We stayed at site #8, on the waterfront- there were several trails to the actual water, however, the one right behind our site was too steep to attempt. Everyone is very polite and shares the waterfront accordingly, as we all found and used the easiest and safest trail to go down and fish!

We love this park. Sites are large and basically well maintained. I would like to suggest an emergency contact # for the park hostbe written on the park pass. There was an incident with another camper during our stay and I found it difficult to contact anyone. Ended up calling 911. I hated to tie them up with an issue that a park host could have handled.

This is the place you want to stay if you want to relax and unwind. While there are areas to walk about, it is all about the lake. A lot of families, fishing, and again, just chilling out and having fun. No issues this trip. Stayed here a few years ago and had the same experience. The bathrooms seemed to be something campers talked about previously as an issue. We had zero issues. The bathrooms were open and were clean. Entrance was easy. Gated entry to the camping area. Covered picnic tables with fire pits nearby. Electric hookup for either 30 or 50 amp. Water hookup. Pretty level for our RV. Easy to get in and out, and yet comfortable with some privacy. We were able to access the lake through a little hike, which we had a lot of fun with. The park is about 14 minutes away from Taylor. HEB close by, as well as other restaurants. So, if you really don't want to cook, you have a lot of options nearby. Only thing we are thinking of for next time is a booster for our cell phone coverage, as we had very minimal access to the internet. My daughter on the top bunk near the window had to be in that perfect position to get sufficient access. So, while we had a little bit of an issue, we figure a booster antennae would help.

Site number 8 was lovely, very private and set back from road, easy access to lake and nice views. Bathrooms could do with some attention ( no hand soap, but it seems rare to find a campground with soap in bathrooms these days!)

Clean park, more than enough space per site and right by the water. Bathrooms were clean also! I definitely will go again.

BRING YOUR OWN DUMP STATION WATER HOSE: The one they have there doesn't have connections.Verizon 1 or 2 bars in and out. AT&T went in and out with 1 bar at the high. It was a very nice quiet area and with the virus restrictions, the restrooms were neglected. Mostly spiderwebs and bugs and dirt blowing inside. We had a lab mix rescue dog with us and she love the nature, walking in the woods on deer trails, and seeing the deer in a nearby small meadow close to the campground. It was quiet and relaxing and just what we needed to get away from the city.
