Our site was just up from the lake and made it so easy to take our grandsons fishing.

Love Wilson H Fox park. When we don't go to a hotel I love staying in a cabin. The cabins here a bit primitive, but all u need. There is a grill a sink and plenty of parking space if you wanted to bring your RV

I have PUT IN for/demand a REFUND!!They should also have to pay DAMAGES for destroying the plans of a widowed woman who took her handicapped son (us) and therapy dog to have a 3-day swimming, campiing good time in a screened shelter and we only were able to TOLERATE it 2 HOURS!!The pipe under the sink was broken and water flowed right out onto the floor ONCE IT PASSED THE clogged drain! There was rat poison pellets ALL ober the bunk beds, spider webs ALL over inside, dead bugs, and a LIVE mouse ran RIGHT up to the therapy dog while she was lying on the floor in there!IT WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE "shelter" anyone could imagine, and easily could NOT have been set FOOT in by ANYONE for at LEAST 6 months! (I know, I managed a clean little motel and this was UNINHABITABLE, hazardous to health with VERMIN inside, and plain DIRTY and dangerous! I thought to try to clean it up instead of have our 3-day plan SPOILED but humans cannot sleep safely where vermin (carrying disease) have been literally SEEN!And the broken water pipe so the sink was utterly useless and made the premises AWFUL. A mouse/rat also, in the space of 2 hours before we gave up and left, got into the CAR somewhere and made it necessary, in addition to suffering the horrible disappoinment after we had prepared for days for this vacation!, to have to fumigate the venting in the car and it smelled for a full WEEK after and caused expense to REMOVE the ODOR of mice piss from our VEHICLE!!This happened to a woman trying to take her family on vacation and we arrived in Sunday and there was NO-Body to call or go to for help at the park, and it was NOT possible to stay overnight and remedy it in the morning. Not sleeping among mice and spiders! If that;'s not bad enough, the DOOR did not/could not fully SHUT and the latch was borken and even if the latch WORKED, it did NOt lock! Who could sleep like that? Not this woman alone in a park! AVOID AVOID AVOID and the site says Dogs are allowed but NOT at the water?

There was no park host available on arrival at campground. We never saw a campground host until our last day as we were leaving didnt speak to us just watched to make sure we were leaving. On the day of our arrival we had to call main office to get code to lock on the building we had reserved. People next to us said they had never seen a park host or gotten the code to open their building and had been there 3 days.

My wife and I have stayed at Wilson H. Fox camp grounds several times. This trip was not as enjoyable as the other times do to showing up to find that the grounds had not been mowed and several of the Park Rule Signs were rotted and falling off of the post. We arrived on Saturday 11/20 the weekend before the Thanksgiving Week and the mowing crew arrived on Tuesday 11/23 to mow the grounds. I would have figured that the mowing would have already been done so when camper who were coming in for the whole week did not have to move their items so that their campsite could be mowed for the week of their stay.

Lights or better marking need to be put up at both the Granget Dam road and the road to turn into the park.

Loved pretty much everything about this park. The bathhouse could’ve used a could round of pest control, but nothing I couldn’t handle. We’ll definitely stay here again.

Nice campground, not-so-great restrooms, which would benefit from a good cleaning on a regular basis. Also, even though we visited during cool weather (December), the doors to said restrooms were locked open. Note that there are bunk beds in the screened shelters. Who uses those?Beautiful place to kayak, though. And lots of deer.
