I'm posting this not as a review of the campground, but as a comment on the reservation cancellation process. Unfortunately, we decided we could not do the trip due to illness, but it was too late by then to cancel online. I called the Corps administrative office at Granger Lake and left a message that we could not come, but I did not hear back, so I do not know how or if it was handled. I understand we forfeited the cost of the entire reservation, which was only for 3 nights. It seems there should be a way to inform "the system" that you will not be showing up at the campsite at all, so at least that campsite could be put back into play for others.

We have stayed twice. Very nice hosts. Good security. Clean facilities., however there is no signage to the campground from coming from the west (Taylor/ Round Rock). At night there is no sign, no light, no indication of the park entrance. We had to guess and drive into the park road before we were certain we were in the right place. (Coming from the west the entrance is marked with a park sign.) Then there is a left turn into the campground. Again unlighted. And at the roundabout its easy to almost hit trees instead of curving right. Had we not been to Granger several times and Fox once, we wouldnt have found the park.

Clean facility with wooded surroundings and short walk down to the lake. Great place to just do 'nothing' and relax. plan Will definitely be back to spend more time here.

We really liked the campground. Spacious sites level parking, firepit, and covered picnic tables. Our only complaint was the bathrooms. If you have a large camper this is not an issue but if you are in a tent or a small camper (we were in a teardrop camper) it is. The bathroom closest to us did not have running water for most of our visit. It eventually came on but barely flowing. We experienced the same at Jim Hogg campground. Beautiful but the bathrooms need attention.

This is our first COE park. We were thrilled--they have set a high bar for other parks. Campground was very easy to find using GPStaking Hwy 95 to Rd 1331. The entrance to the park is a little hard to see. When you see the Wilson H Fox sign, be ready to turn. The staff in this campground were very helpful. The check in process was easy. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had never stayed at a park with a curfew. The gates close promptly at 10pm, which was surprising but worked out fine. Check in staff made sure we understood the consequence of coming in late (you will be locked out). There are trees in quite a few sites that would offer some shade. Campground easily handles big rigs. The roads are wide and easy to maneuver. Sites are very nice size. There was plenty of room in our site for the truck, 5th wheel and Jeep. Asphalt roads through the campground and in very good condition. Asphalt pad for RV, with a large grass area to relax outside. Sites are very level. Each site had a picnic table with a gazebo. 50 amps available and water, no sewer, but there is a dump station that is easily accessible. Our site had a nice lake view. It was a pretty view, but a cliff down to the lake. There is lake access, but not near us. Good Verizon coverage. It was very easy to get DirecTV satellite. This is a very nice campground and we look forward to returning.

Love this small park. The only negatives are no sewer at sites and the gate lock at 10. Our children live nearby and when we come, we come to see them. Sometimes, 10 is a bit early for us to have to wrap up our evening to get back to the park.

The restrooms and showers were completely GROSS and unusable the entire weekend. We told the gatekeeper and still nothing was done about cleaning them. Otherwise all went well.
