We reserved our spot with a shelter for our overnight/fishing trip. We were never able to remove the pad lock from the door of the shelter. The lock combo they gave us (via email) was incorrect. Of course there was no one there to help and no one to answer the phone.

Pretty place, especially in the spring. Lake access and boat parking are great, RV parking area and connections were just right and the shelter was plenty large. We enjoyed our time there.

Overall the park is great! This shelter needs some attention.

Bathrooms are not kept clean (nasty); have been camping at Wilson H Fox Park for years and never had a problem in the past. Understand the onsite staff is now volunteers only instead of contract host; explains why the grass wasn't maintained at campsite, trash or entrance into the park (except for Sat evening) was managed.

The shelter we stayed in was updated with new paint and sliding doors on the windows. This helped keep the room warm and it looked very clean. We enjoyed our stay.

Cabin site #44 has holes in the metal mesh screen. Someone tried plugging them with paper towels and plastic bags, which almost worked but is super trashy. Also, lots of old wasp nests under the bed and sink, and lots of spider webs. We brought tents so we stayed in those instead. We knew from the satellite images there were no trees at the site, so we brought a canopy. Trees are sparse throughout the campgrounds. The fishing dock was good. I'd say 6-8 people can comfortably fish from it at the same time. There's also some decent access to the edge of the water nearby. We used worms, minnows and lures and got one bite across multiple spots.Bathrooms are always disgusting at campgrounds, and this was no different. Note to park bathroom cleaners: use a broom handle with a stiff bristle scrub brush attached, and scrub the floor AND the walls. There are always questionable "marks" on the walls.Overall, it seemed like a decent park for RVs. If you want a "woodsy" feel, you won't get that here.

The grass was sooooo tall. The screened shelter was locked and couldnt find someone to help us unlock it. Gate attendant wouldnt answer the door. When the neighbor told us how to unlock it, it was so filthy we had to buy a broom to sweep it out. Then there was a ton of scorpions in it. Bathrooms were very dirty too. Worst Ive ever seen it!

We reserve 5-6 trailer spots with attached cabins every year for large family reunion. The ground as always clean. There is more than enough space for all of us. Each spot has a BBQ grill which is great for family reunion dinners ! Cabins have electricity and they are putting shutters to bring down in cold or hot weather - You will need to bring your own heater or portable ac if needed. The public bathrooms and showers and large and clean as well - See you again next year !!!
