Generally: Enjoyed our stay. Only saw one volunteer in 6 days. They were cordial and told us where to locate them if needed. Good part: The campground was spacious. Really enjoyed the table and cover. Plenty of shower and toilet locations. Toilet paper was in good supply. Plenty of garbage bins. Bad: The campground is old looking; repairs are not being made. The grill was totally unusable; rusty, ash filled, crooked. The occupancy per space was over what is usually allowed; multiple families in spaces with cars parked everywhere. The bath and toilet facility could have used a good pressure washing. Hot water was almost non-existent. We would stay again but only during the week when the crowds have gone.

Great park. Clean bath houses, spacious camp sites and fishing. We enjoyed it for 5 days as a break from travel.

Wonderful park! Great views of Lake Georgetown. Park hosts were very nice & professional. Only issue I had was they ran out of park maps, & I couldnt find the trail heads were you can walk around the lake. I would say there were not identified well or at all from the Jim Hogg park location.

I would like to to warn everyone about Jim Hogg Park and Georgetown Lake so everyone can stay away and let us come back anytime — because it is a series of wonderful experiences. The spaces are huge, and they all have nice and large covered picnic areas! The water front lots have awe-inspiring views of the lake and hills with delightful breeze, while the inland sites are surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery for a great get-away that you will not want to leave. All sites have water and electricity (30 & 50). The folks at the front gate are very nice, and the park volunteers monitor the park throughout the day to make the experience pleasant for everyone. If you book this location, please safe a spot for us and our camper.
