We love Jim Hogg and usually come at least once a year. The lake access was great. Do not leave any food out or the ants will come.

Call to make sure your spot is not occupied. A group of 3 families were camping here. My family arrived a day early, we called to reserve an extra night. The others were coming the next day. The next day came and 1 family came in and at checkout time the people that occupied the other campsite decided to drive off and leave their trailer still set up. We made contact with the host and were told that the guy does this all the time and was actually supposed to be in another spot. We were told there was nothing they could do and that family was put into like spot 2 when supposed to be in 44. Finally the people came back and after much discussion they moved on, but the fact the hosts can do nothing is crazy, at least call the police for trespassing

Great park. Large sites, choices of lake view or wooded. Nice to see active Park Hosts and maintenance in the campground. Bath houses well maintained. Lots of places to walk the dog, having some randomly placed dog pots or at least more trash cans would be helpful.

Nice park, well maintained and lots to do and see at and around the lake!!We like to stay by the water, which is further from the public bathrooms, so bikes are a must.

We had a very nice camp sight right on the lake front... (lake was about 30 ft. low....) The campground is very nice with plenty of trees for shade and sufficient restrooms/shower facilities. We went bicycle riding twice and enjoyed it very much. The only problem was the heat... August is the hottest month of the year so we did not feel comfortable being out ot our camper in the heat of the day... But we had a good time...

Nice, quiet & peaceful campground. Have camped here a few times in order to prepare our camper for other trips throughout Texas. Since we live 4.5 miles from Jim Hogg Park, it is a very convenient location to work on our camper. In addition, we are also able to enjoy the scenery at the campground. Always very satisfied!
