Easy reservations, nice spots, nice park and close to Georgetown, Austin, and the San Gabriel River Trail. Decent cell service (AT&T).

Great amenities and nice sites with electricity and water. Enjoyed walking to lake. Dogs had a great time!

Stayed in site # 146 for a few days and then had to move to site 137, as site 146 had a reservation. All went well except for the fact that while we were in site # 137, we walked by site 148 (new camper with dogs) and our small dog was attacked, while on leash, by a pair of dogs, who were leashed together, but not restrained by their owner. Our small dog did not have any serious injuries, but the incident was reported to a camp host and ranger. Campground is currently short staffed. Boat traffic to the boat ramp and weekend traffic is very busy. Saw a lot of deer in the campground. Each campsite has good spacing from neighbor. Cell service was good, via Visible.

July 2021 - Stayed in Sites 137 & 146 during our stay of several days. Weekends are hectic in the park, as there are a lot of weekenders and boaters using the parks boat ramps. During the week, the park is much more mellow and relaxed. Did see quite a few Deer (Bucks in Velvet, Does and a few spotted Fawns). Campground was short-staffed, and we did find some litter around the campsites, but not a big problem. Cell phone reception was good via Visible/Verizon. Shopping, Restaurants and Laundry was only a few miles away, although traffic can be a little hectic. Overall, a good experience.
