Very clean and well maintained park. Trash bins very accessible and at a decent height for disposing of trash. The gated key code entrance provides additional protection and privacy.

Excellent location, helpful staff on site. All sites are clean and most are large enough for large rigs.

Asphalt sites uneven. Tripped and fell from asphalt to ground. Hit hard. Stayed in recliner for 3 days with usual twisted ankle bruises and swelling. 3 weeks later still with pain. Otherwise nice park and nice location. Lots of things to do in the area. Berry Springs & Park Preserve had numerous birds for December and lots of walking trails.

Excellent place to RV camp.

Camp Hosts were hard to find, no signs upon entering where they were. Reason for finding them was to obtain after hours gate code. We were visiting friends in the area and came in after 10 PM a couple of times. We eventually asked someone and they guided us to the boat ramp to find a host, and on the way ran into a park range who called and got the code for us. Otherwise, a great place to stay!

A great place to getaway close to home. Always pick a site with a water view! Peaceful and quiet, clean.

Killed 4 scorpions and almost stepped on a coral snake next to our picnic table. Be careful.

Jim Hogg Park in Georgetown TX is a very nice Corps park. You have your choice of sites that are wooded and level or lakefront and mostly sloped (site 34 was lakefront and very level, some are not). All sites are paved and well apart. Sites are water & electric, there is a dump station. In the winter one loop is closed, and the other is normally booked up on weekends, so you may need to plan well in advance. The bathrooms are clean. Park is very close to town (the town is growing fast out to meet the park), and night sky has some light pollution, but it's still very quiet and lovely here. Camp hosts are really nice and helpful.
