Jim Hogg COE park is a great stopover place for us. Close to the I35 as we travel south from the Dallas area, to San Antonio. Lots of different sites for everyone's differing needs. We have a 40' class A towing a jeep and had no difficulty in navigating the park, parking, and water/electric worked well. Lots of shopping for all needs nearby. We will stop here again and again.

This has always been an excellent park to visit. The sites are spacious and the water views are nice.

I liked my time here and plan to return. My site was great. The campground in general needs maintenance but things worked OK. The hosts and volunteers were easy to work with and obviously working hard. My biggest complaint is that at least in some places they advertise hot showers. Ha! Cold water in a cold bathhouse. Maybe OK for summer but bitter in January.

Jim Hogg park was a busy place, lots of folks coming and going. But very easy to enter maneuver around, and lots of great spots for any size camper. We had a great view of the lake, good ATT data and cell connection, water and power worked well, and the dump station on the way out was easy to use for our 40' motorhome, pulling a jeep. You feel like you are way out into the country, but all the stores and restaurants you might want are only a few miles away. We enjoyed our stay and will be back next time when we are in the area.

Everything was great. We live close so we like to camp here. The grocery store is close so if you forget stuff, it's a 5 min drive. My husband did the 25 mile bike ride around the lake. It was a rough ride but great time.

Years of neglect and mismanagement are showing. The park is in disrepair. Very sad to see.

We are native Austins. We have stayed at Jim Hogg for years as weekend campers and now as retired seniors Up until the changeover in management in the last year we always gave this park a 5 star. Campsites and restrooms do not meet that criteria any more Upkeep is minimal and restroom repairs are lacking. Campsite use to be kept clean by the volunteers which is no longer the case. It is no longer our favorite campsite.
