Of all the Corp parks we have stayed at this was by far the worst park. Knowing you have ~140 sites we expected to see the park host and park rangers a lot, however we saw very very little. We were there from Friday evening to a Tuesday morning and the only time we say them was when the very nice park host lady came by to tell us to move off the grass.... Well 50%-75% of the entire park had multiple vehicles parked on the grass. On Monday evening July 4th, we could barely squeeze through where there were over 6 vehicles at 1 campsite parked on the grass and roadway. Dogs were loose EVERYWHERE at majority of every campsite & we continuously had loose dogs in our campsite from our neighbors, that kept trying to get to our dogs! And our neighbors were smoking WEED one night. On Sunday evening July 3rd around 9pm, we decided to take a walk with the sun down and there were campers with a campfire burning in the wooded loop! So where were the park host/camp rangers? With a burn ban in place we expected more watchful eyes to protect all of us camping. We will never go back to that park again. Very sad.

Many, many waterfront sites with plenty of room. Shelters over the tables would help with summer heat. Not very many bathrooms for such a large campground. Definitely plan on coming again in warmer weather.

The sites along the lake were very beautiful. There are a lot of deer in the park, so use caution especially at night. Each spot has a pavilion, but ours was very unkept, and we didn’t use it. We would definitely stay there again.

I started camping at Jim Hogg and Cedar Breaks when Lake Georgetown opened to the public. It was great then and still is. Had been a while since we had been there and I was surprised with the new way of operation but got thru it ok. Thank you for having such great parks to serve the public!

Nice, quiet spot. (we were there during the week when it wasn't busy around us). Has lots of space on each side of RV. Good view of water. Some trees, but not close enough to RV to cause any problems. We're trying a different spot in a few weeks that has an even better view of the lake. Very nice park; hosts are friendly and helpful.

We appreciate the Army Corps of Engineer parks. The opportunity to camp in an undeveloped area allows for communion with nature. Our times at Jim Hogg and Cedar Breaks parks are an important part of our regular renewals as part of a healthy, balanced life.

Very good park. We enjoyed lounging in the accompanying pergola. Nice sunset. Some trash at the site (including a rusted fish hook), so we had to do some cleaning from past users.

Our site backed up to the lake. We had a site that provided both 30 and 50 amp service with water. The site provided paved back ins, covered picnic table and a grill. Lots of sites to pick from. Check in was a breeze with friendly staff. The clean dump station is conveniently located as your leaving the park. There are several restaurants in town if thats your thing. Clean, nice quiet park.

A very nice camp ground. Clean restrooms, scenic area, spacious sites and quiet. Our favorite park when visiting the Austin area.

The most remarkably dirty restrooms we have ever seen in a campground! They could not have been cleaned for weeks.

We were expecting a relaxing weekend only to get back to our site on Friday evening to find a boy scout troop camped in the 4 sites to our right. There were tents every where exceeding the rules. There was even 1 at the back of our trailer on our site. There was no one on the grounds to complain to except the park host who the scoyts chaperones completely ignored. We had children all around with very loud games and traipsing through our site all weekend. I dont mind children at all however when there are too many people to a site you can imagine things get loud. There were also cars parked all along the road not following the set parking rules or amount of vehicles. If we would have tried to get our trailer in and parked after the scouts arrived we couldnt have maneuvered down the rd to our camp let alone back all the way in Without fear of backing into the tent that was on or site. Very disappointing weekend and a total disregat for the park rules. The host offered apologies and explained that is a common occurrence at Jim Hogg as people know there is no law enforcement on weekend duty. I hope things change at this beautiful camp that is in such a great location near Austin.
