The sites were well maintained, easy to back into, had covered picnic tables, and were generally level. The aspects which were less positive were the closeness of sites and the cleanliness of the showers/toilets being just a bit below average. Everything considered, we would stay there again.

Making the reservation is easy and quick. The front gate attendants are always pleasant and friendly. The grounds need some care and attention. Campers leave the firepits full of garbage and cigarette butts should be fined or banned from returning. The site should be cleaned up for the next camper. The grass is sometimes overgrown and require the camper to string trim during their stay. I love Jim Hogg RV part but since Covid hit, the campsites have become worn down and someone should be held accountable. Use the cancellation fees to fund a clean up/refresh crew.

This is my first stay at Jim Hogg Park on Lake Georgetown,I have visited the park as a thru-rider on the Goodwater Loop trail at least four times in the past.The park is very well maintained! Bathrooms and facilities are as good as anything you might find in a hotel!The signs and trail markings are in good shape and the roads and camper amenities are all in excellent condition.I only have two "issues" with the park and these came to light only after making an overnight stay.1.) Tent campers are at a serious disadvantage as the size, number of and mechanical noise of the monster trailer home and self propelled "campers" makes it almost impossible to enjoy being outdoors.2.) Spacing between camp sights is tighter than the parking at a Walmart. I'm not kidding! The heat blast from the opening and closing of doors on the 40 foot long 5th wheel camper next to my camp sight was annoying even in my tent!As to the spacing of sites, even without covid-19 making changes to our behavior, the spacing is too close. I think they should have been renting only every other site to give some room to the campers. I felt like I needed to wear a mask all day as the neighbor kids wouldn't stay out of my site. :/

Poorly maintained. No sewer connections at sites. One dump station at exit which has a line of trailers waiting to dump.
