It is a very nice park. Quite and relaxing. With food and restaurants close by. The bathrooms and showers need some updating.

We loved the sites at Jim Hogg. Sites with view of water as well as more wooded sites. Each site had a covered picnic shelter which we really appreciated. The only thing preventing an excellent rating was the quality and cleanliness of the washroom/bath house, this may have been because of time of year we visited (April). Location was great for trips into nearby Georgetown to pick up forgotten supplies.

The camping spots were very nice. Our primary complaint, being so close to the beginning of the loop, was all the people driving the wrong direction to exit. Part of it was laziness by the people. But there is no sign and only a the remnants of the arrow on the roadway at the entrance of the loop.

The bathrooms in front of site #84 were filthy!! We contacted the front office numerous times and no one ever came to clean them. The tiolets were clogged, tiolet paper all over the floor, showers were dirty. They stayed dirty the entire weekend, the cleaning crew did not show up until Monday around noon. The park was near capacity and everyone had no choice but to use the other two facilities. With soo many people using the two remaining facilities, they also became dirty. There were multiple vehicles driving the wrong way. Multiple vehicles driving atleast twice the speed limit. My family had to tell over 6 different vehicles to slow down and be mindful of the children. I did not see one park ranger or employee enforcing the rules or speed limit the entire 5 days we were there. Very disappointed with the overall experience.

I had a great time on the hiking trail. Camp is close to conveniences of town, but far enough away to feel close to nature.

I love the camping location, people are very friendly and what this place wonderful, the view is nice , plus the lake looks awesome!!!

The park is beautiful. We enjoyed a walk through the park along the lake. The restrooms were clean and well lit. The volunteer who welcomed us was friendly and helpful. Overnight, it was quiet, and the next morning we enjoyed the birdsong and lots of visitors out walking or riding bikes.
