As usual, I had a good go. Plenty of separation between campsites and backing the trailer in was easy. Good walking in the mornings. Have been there a couple of times and it's always been good. Being close to stores also helps.

Gate attendants were very rude and made it seem like they were protecting the white house. A man drove around on a golf cart constantly staring at the people camping and was taking notes. Never experienced such oddity at any by other camp facility

The camp host spot at the entrance was very trashy.
And the grass needed to be mowed all over the park.
We loved seeing all the deer

Nice park. I really like the coded gates that allow entrance after hours as our schedule can be very erratic.

Jim Hogg Park is always clean. The staff and volunteers are friendly and you can always expect a helping hand if needed. The spots are close enough to e friendly but far enough to be private.

Lovely park, with a lake, hiking trails, both shaded spots as well as lakefront spots. Very nice, and usually something is available on short notice.
