Great view of the lake. Spot was mowed and kept up with. Wish there was a tree or two for some shade. Was nice to have a direct path to the water. Bathrooms were ok.

Seems as though this park is in a rapid decline. Holiday weekend, most if not all sites overgrown with weeds. Upon arrival trash everywhere in my site. Had to wash my pad and picnic table down before I could use it. Lack of host presence, only to check my senior pass. Little to no enforcement of rule violations. Pets off leash, children of leash blocking roads, stopping traffic. You would think with multiple price increases over the last few years COE parks could do a better job!

Nice park, water, electric, and dump station. Our view was of lake, nice but no trees. Sites away from lake view has trees and would take those next time.

Great spaces, beautiful views, quiet campground, and secured gate so campsites feel much more secure. Definitely would stay here again.

This park is very nice & clean. There was always a breeze. Very relaxing!We were in site 36, right on the lake. When I booked the site, it shows a tree there for shade. That tree has been cut down but otherwise a nice site.

We really enjoy this park. We've stayed here a few times and will be back next time we are in this area of Texas. Quiet, good size campsites, decently level and close to grocery stores and restaurants

The view of the lake was great. The picnic table at my site was nice. There was a fair amount of litter around, likely connected to the shortage of available trash cans. Some hand soap in the restroom would have been appropriate. The worst thing was the nearby orange street lamp. I know several places in the city that are darker and quieter.

It started off a good trip until we moved sites. I always pick up all the trash at any site we stay at, from previous people that were at the site. Jim Hogg is the worst. This last one took first place. There were melted Hershey bars and marshmallow all over the table and in the pavilion. There was trash, food and wrappers EVERYWHERE! Im not sure what the camp hosts do here, besides be the parking police. I know there are several of them at Jim Hogg. They never check the sites and never clean them. In addition to that there was some kind of dead animal in the tree area in front of us that stunk so bad. There was no relaxing outside! Our neighbors were just as frustrated with the cleanliness of their site. It was their first experience at Jim Hogg and they said they probably wouldnt be staying the entire week, which theyd scheduled. Weve been going here for about a year now, a couple times a month. I think this trip was our last. I go to relax. I pay to relax. I was hosing and scrubbing tables and concrete, and picking up trash like I would for my business. I just have no interest in that again.

This is our go to place for camping. This last visit we did in May was cut short a day due to us thinking the weather was going to get bad. I was no sure if we were able to get a refund or credit for the night we did not stay. Overall, a great place to stay, the only complaint I have was the grass was high.

We stayed for one night at site 36, had access to the lake, moved to site 55 which was a nice site also, had a view of the lake but no lake access from that spot. I would definitely stay again, *note: the rest rooms with showers are dated but useable

Space was on the water and fairly level. Was only there for one night. Beautiful sunrise and sunset on the lake.

We were in a very beautiful spot by the lake, #36. Loved the covered tables and walking trail to the waters edge. Pretty park, well maintained, helpful staff.

Site 36 is a beautiful waterfront site! We liked having the electric hookup, water, grill, covered picnic area & fire pit. The camp grounds were planned out well and we felt like we had good space between us and the other camping parties. We would stay again!
