Very nice park. Never been to a park with this level of security. It was fantastic. Close to everything we wanted to do. We will definitely be back

Big spaces, lovely sundowns and grazing deer in a quiet location

The park is lovely! Nice large campsites with plenty of trees and woods; the best picnic tables and pavilions I've ever seen anywhere; both standing grill and large firepits; and friendly, laid-back camp hosts. The hiking trails were outstanding. The downsides were the restrooms (one of the sinks wasn't working and the outside drinking fountain didn't work) and our camp water source. Water shot out sideways at one site and the pump at the other site was hard to manage. Water shot out explosively when it did come out, drenching us in chilly weather.

This is a nice park on Lake Georgetown and close to some nice (though most crowded trail head around the lake)?hiking. The site we were in was 24 and pretty level (38 ft Class A, with 3 slides). We asked for some trees to be trimmed a bit to avoid scratch our rig which never happened. (We took care.) This was our second time in this site. We did experience a Tornado Warning and went to the bathrooms, and we were not happy that people did not mask up. As a Federal facility, we expected people to abide by the masking guidelines and no one did (it was close encounters in bathrooms when everyone went for the Tornado warning). The showers are less than ideal with no private place to set your stuff and dress. Water was barely warm even after several pushes.

We always enjoy our visits to this park. The sites are large enough to feel some distance. The restrooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. My only wish is for a stairway or a ramp down to the water from the cliff.
