Brand new bathrooms need to have the skylight, that allows more heat in, removed and exhaust fans installed to remove the heat and humidity. The rooms are unbearable on a hot day or night. The lakes shoreline needs the brush removed to allow for fishing. This is one of the worst lakes to fish without a boat.

Great park, clean with an amazing view of the lake. Well be back soon

This was the most disgusting place we stayed in our 4 month trip. Bathrooms were closed for renovations, and the one single bathroom still open was so nasty it was unusable. The grounds weren’t being mowed, maybe because of the wildflowers, but there was cardboard flying around in the never stopping wind. The waterfront site had gouges views and the sight is just miles out of Fort Worth, so it’s really sad it’s not being managed properly. When checking in we were told the entrance closed at 10 pm sharp. If you arrive after that time you will walk to your site. I’m not sure it’s legal , but that’s what we were told. We love coe parks , too bad they are so rundown in Texas.

Bathrooms were in poor condition. The men’s had no toilets, only urinals. Our site was next to a big pile of trash. The sites generally seem to be un-level, too. The concrete is all cracked up. The plug-in posts do not have 50 amp even though it says it does, but the posts are lit and that’s a nice feature. We made the mistake of driving into the day use part of the park, driving for miles, only to find out the road leading into the camping part was locked and we were supposed to use an entirely different entrance. I think signage for the camping part of the park could be better. We were supposed to return this week but because of the bathroom condition, we canceled.

On a positive note the lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The sites were large and nicely spaced with a shelter over the picnic table. However, the facility is in disrepair and needs attention. The roads and sites were uneven and rough.
