The lady at the front gate was super helpful and kind. Our pass discount had not been included on our reservation and she fixed it and got us a refund. The newer restrooms down by the screened shelters are nice with plenty of hot water in the showers.

Been coming here for many years however I will not be returning anytime soon! The people that are working in the office are extremely rude and clearly do not know how to talk to people in a decent manner!! They treat people like they are animals or some one that is wayyyyyy beneath them!

Nice site location. Little to no shade, but good view of park.

It was a last minute decision to take my new camper out on its first trip. So I took what was available, #35. First the site was good except the ground has washed out and made it dangerous walking around. Then their were large "Ghost Trees" can be bad if a wind comes up, which it did ! Very strong ! And no shade. Other than some maintience it was good. New camper was better than expected.

Great camping spot not far from I20. Close to lots of restaurants and stores. Great pizza nearby.

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. Nice view out our back window. The lake was down, but that is to be expected in Texas at this time of year. Power & water were good. Dump has 2 stations,, 1 was working on this day. We did have a little difficulty getting into our spot, but the Rangers were kind enough to help us figure it out. A note for those with taller rigs arriving in late Summer/Fall: Trees are trimmed in the early Spring to 14'.... by October, with a 13.4 rig... it was a little challenging . Our fault, there were spots with clearer overheads we could have booked, we just didn't do enough research. Will stay here again.

The hosts were amazing. They recommended a better site for us then the one we chose and it was perfect. Campground is definitely in need of upgrades but a pleasure to camp at and we highly recommend it to others.

A very poor representation of the Corps of Engineers facility. The people were very nice, however, the bathroom and showers were in dire need of updating. No heat, not that big of a deal, but with the wind that never dies in Texas, that cool breeze coming thru the cracked/broken covering of the vents made for a cold visit. The sites are fine, the views excellent, Love the trees, and that you warn/let people know they are part of the beauty of the park, and the height. Looked like a lot of ant hills too. Thankfully with the temps/weather they appear dormant, but could pose a problem in warmer temps.

If you are looking for level sites stay on the sites further from the water. We choose near water and had to use blocks go get our motor home level. Lot of road bike trails in the area

This place was a great stop for us on our almost 2 week long RV/road trip! The only drawback being that it didnt have a black water hook up at the site so we had to drive the rv to the dump station each day. Essentially it was tearing down and setting up to camp again every day. This is probably only a large family issue though as none of the other rvs seemed to have the same routine. The site was clean, easily accessible, fairly level, and had plenty of room to park. The best thing about it was our view of the gorgeous lake! Will definitely be back to camp here again!
