This is our third time staying here and we will return again. Sites are very spacious and come with covered picnic table, bbq grill and fire pit. Most have shade trees. Lots of birds, lake views and great sunrises. Staff is friendly and helpful. Don't forget about the nightly entrance gate closures at 10pm or you'll be walking to your site! Location is quite convenient to Fort Worth and city amenities but in the country enough so that you feel like you are camping among nature. Only wish there were more full hookup sites.

Old and dirty bathrooms. Gate locked at 10:00 pm. Garbage all over the place. Not as clean as other COE parks we have stayed in before.

The park was in a very beautiful setting and even a great location. The maintenance of the park did not seem up to par to a lot of other army corps of engineer parks that I've been to. The people there were fantastic and treated as well.

Very nice widely separated sites. Quiet park with locked gate at night. Bathrooms are dirty and not in very good condition. Shower has plenty of water, but no heat adjustment and on the cool side for cold weather camping. The men's toilet in our nearest bathroom was out of service.

The site was great-------------however due to the fact that there was no gate entry after 10pm it was not an enjoyable experience--------------we were here for a funeral and wanted to visit with family but were not able to----------gate attendant was nice but said if we returned after 10pm we would have to park outside and walk to our site----------please change this---------we have stayed at other COE lakes and have not had this happen before
Thanks

Sites are very large, come complete with fire ring, grill and picnic table. Our site had 50 amp power and water. There are no sewer sites available but double dump stations are available as you exit park. Park is well kept. We did not use showers or restrooms. We would return to this park if our travels bring us back this way. Park is close to almost every type of shopping and restaurants that you could need.

Second time we have stayed. Spacious sites, friendly staff, easy quick access to lake & easy walks near the campsites or by the lake. Remember, the primary purpose of a Corp of Engr. location is water management and as such the first time we stayed the lake was very high and having just receded from being over part of the campground things were a little messy with debris. Second time we stayed lake was extremely low so our kayak paddle involved walking ~ 50 yards across a mud flat to reach the water. Still had a great visit both times.

WiFi at the campgrounds would improve the stay there. Map of the campground online would be very helpful.
