"ATTENTION CAMPERS The wooded aspect of Holiday Park is part of its beauty. If you have a new RV or one that is 12' or taller, get out and inspect your campsite & tree clearances before you pull into the site." Then what?

We loved staying here! Would water at the site made it better, absolutely. But, the scenery, size of the site, all of the wildlife...made it an excellent stay. Only downside was the temperature of the water in the women's shower room at the far side of the park. Very, very hot!

Very sad that the lake was lower than it was last year at the same time, and that there had to be a storm that would knock out power on the first night we got there. Having said that, it was enjoyable regardless and we appreciated the Ranger's willingness to help us leave when the time came by lifting up a branch that had landed on our motorhome.

The campsite was beautiful. Clean and the picnic table, fire pit and grill were all
In great working condition.
The bathrooms closest to us were just port-a-potties so we drove to the front to use the bathrooms there. Showers could definitely use some upgrades or even just some regular maintenance. There was only 1 shower with a shower curtain and it was barely useable. The other showers were a little better but they could also use some maintenance as the shower doesn’t stay on without pushing the button every 15 seconds.
There is no swim area but we drove to another park about 15 miles away which was no big deal. All in all it was a great experience. We will definitely be back!

Site was well kept and the scenery beautiful. It was one of the most peaceful and relaxing stops on our 30 day excursion.

Park Ranger was very nice. Plenty of space but sites could definitely be marked better.

Our campsite was lovely with spectacular views of the lake. There are many such sites here. The folks at checkin were very informative and gave us all the info we needed. Really enjoyed the Fort Worth stockyard cattle drive - a must if you are in the area. Lots of good restaurants and services very close. Tried to go to the Cowgirl Hall of fame but it was closed, sounded like it would be fun.
The down side of the campsite was the condition of the bath houses, particularly in the less populated loop - they were awful and clearly get almost no attention. We rarely saw any park rangers which may explain why our neighbors through the trees were consistently able to leave their two, very restless dogs off leash almost the entire time we were there, bothering anyone who tried to walk by. Despite these issues the campground was enjoyable and we would return.

We enjoyed this location due to the large area for each camp site as compared to many conventional RV parks.
