Planned to stay overnight and leave on my way truck overheated needed to find a mechanic asked a neighbor camped next to me which he called Friday evening. Extended my stay to find out no one could help. Had to extend my day even longer the volunteers helped moved to a different camp site. My Senior Pass is well used understand that I could get a replacement at Benbrook Park from the gate attendant. Went by and inquired the attendant refused to issue a Senior Pass. Told her that that gate attendant could do that just fill out some paperwork pay a fee she still refused.

First, this is a great campground so close to Ft. Worth! But, it is in need of some good old TLC. We realize that the campground is going for the foresty feel, however, the camp sites were not completely mowed and the grass was very long. The sites looked like they were partially mowed. The sides of the roads need some attention, many wash out areas. Again, the water in the women's shower house is too hot with pinpoint shower heads. On top of that, one of the male cleaning crew entered the shower house to clean it without announcing himself. That is truly unacceptable! I realize that there is a lock on the main door but there are two showers available. If you lock it, nobody else can use the second shower. Perhaps the shower curtains should be replaced with locking doors. All in all, this is still a great campground. We have been here a number of times and will continue to use it.

An amazing experience. Our first site #85, was not level at all, but had a gorgeous view of the lake. We are in a 37' motorcoach with a toad. We must have been close to an Eastern Bluebird's nest because they kept bombarding our car. They are beautiful birds, but boy can they make a mess of a car! Once we moved to a more level site (#90) 5 sites down, they didn't bother us anymore, but no beautiful view from there. #91 is very level and long. The people managing the camp were all super sweet. There is only electric and water at these sites with a pump out station around the bend. Not all sites have hook ups. We saw roadrunners, deer, herons, egrets, and vultures. It's half an hour drive into Ft Worth. The Stockyards are well worth the drive. An hour away is the marvelous Creation Science Museum in Dallas and, of course, Ripleys Believe It or Not.

This is a close-to-home location for us and it does not disappoint when it comes to campsite quality. It might not be the absolute level site but it is no issue to get a level camper

This park is one of our absolute places to camp! We love the serene calming experiences we always have here. We also love the quietness of the park as my husband and I are empty nesters who enjoy a good relaxing and peaceful time when camping outdoors.

Loved our continuing experiences at Benbrook Lake Holiday campground. We stayed in the northward end of the campground at site 91, which is quickly becoming one of our top 2 sites there. 50 amp service and running water with nearby bathhouses, garbage dumpsters, and a clean, unobstructed view of the great outdoors (cue a few dozen deer most mornings). We are looking forward to our next trip there!. Highest recommendation!

We love this campground! Clean, quiet, beautifully situated, nicely laid out, very reasonably priced, and we love the biking, hiking and kayaking opportunities! Highly recommended!

Staff was excellent, the site was nice, the park was clean and views good. Only negative is the bathrooms. Really need updating.

I loved this campground except for the bathrooms which need a little TLC (clean but in bad shape). Place is beautiful and well maintained otherwise.

We love this park and always have a great time here. Be aware that site 89 is pretty darned unlevel. Also, the placement of the picnic bench and shelter were waaaaay too close to the driveway so that we could not extend our camper awning...poor design. I'd also like to say that Recreation.gov's website is difficult to use and needs improvement badly.

We always have a positive experience at Holiday Texas. The sites are clean and spacious. The camp hosts are super. Were new RVers and recently made a trip through Texas into Arkansas and Oklahoma. We were surprised to find each park we stayed at in Arkansas and Oklahoma had full hook-ups. Our experience with Texas parks is that none of them have full hook-ups, of the ones weve researched/stayed at. This is very disappointing. In addition, at the Texas parks, there seems to be a great percent of sites that are excluded due to electrical or water issues. Texas has so much to offer. Its disappointing to see that were not maintaining our parks as well as in other states.
