Front gate staff not familiar with the park. Low hanging limbs could be a issue for some Class As. Deer and turkeys behind our site and nice elbow room between sites. We are big fans of COE campgrounds - a little trimming and a lot of training would go a long way at Holiday.

Nice campering area, paved level camping pads. Nice covered picnic tables. Close to stores if you need supplies. Plan on coming back again hopefully the lake level will be up next time.

Large sites with long flat paved pads. The lake had a few stumps near the campground dock. The campground was quiet. Nice campground especially being so close to a large metropolitan area.

Staying in Texas in January isn't going to be an amazing vacation, BUT if you stay somewhere that has people that try their best to make your stay enjoyable it's not bad at all. The hosts were always friendly and helpful, even if the facilities need updating (the bathhouses don't have heat and are always vented to the outside air).

Benbrook COE is an example of why we love COE parks.
They have lots of space between sites, they are well cared for and the presence of rangers/hosts make you feel safe.

We love this campground. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Proximity to everything is great. Quiet and peaceful. Advanced reservations are required as it is always busy on the weekends as a lot of people use it to take time off from their jobs.

Very clean park. Extremely helpful persons in the office. Unsure why there are not many vacancies, especially on weekends.

Very spacious sites by the lake or under huge oak trees. Very enjoyable stay close to Fort Worth and plenty to do.

We really liked it and will go back. I will say though that I was sad the hiking trail didnt look kept up. We ended up not using it which made me sad. Other than that we had a great time and everyone was very friendly.

We love the park. It has big spaces, so there is always a lot of room to stretch out.

Very good Corps type campground. Staff are excellent. Hood county needs to fix access road. We hope contractors soon finish planned upgrades.
