Loved the site being so close to the playground and lake! Missed out on having a campfire since the wind only complaint for the campground was that the bathroom by us was disgusting and the toilets were so high up. The cleaners came by the second day we were there and you could hardly tell! Idk if its bc there are so many rvs so they just dont care about those as much for tent campers or what. Disappointing though.

Upon arriving at the front gate to check in - the park host lady could not have been nicer - it was our first time there and we will go back

Oak is one of our favorite parks. However, there were dogs running around without leashes. I had a dog come over into our site and my dog (on a leash) ran towards her and jerked me to the ground, skinning my knees. We go through great pains to make sure our dogs are properly restrained. I expect the same from other guests. The leash policy should be inforced.

One of our favorite COE parks. Catfish were biting, park was nice and quiet. Gate attendants are friendly and helpful as always. Our site was nice and clean, deer were roaming morning and evening. Dawson has a new DG Market that came in very handy. We can't wait to come back in October.

One of our favorite camping spots. Spacious site, short walk to the lake, close to bathrooms and dumpsters. Camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful bluebonnets and other wild flowers throughout the park. Boat ramp is close by. Large swimming area and playground for the kids. It is quiet and peaceful, pet friendly. We have camped here many times and always look forward to coming back. Bait and fishing supplies, propane and firewood are available just up the road. Highly recommend!

Very clean campsites. No problem with water an electric hookups. Gate attendants were very friendly. Park was beautiful with scenery and wildlife. We fished and caught fish right by campsite. Highly recommend this park for a relaxing getaway.

Stayed in oak park and the restroom and showers were absolutely the nasty and could not use them : the guy that cleans came twice and out 2 rolls of toilet paper and even told our family that these restrooms were gross and the cleaner ones were up the road . We did complain park ranger came and took pictures he came next stayed 45 seconds long enough To carrry 2 rolls of paper and leave . The floors were flood with overflow sewer which is gross and Carries disease and we have little kids . We paid to stay and had to smell and be exposed ti those nasty bathroom conditions. We have been staying there for the last 5/6 years for the Fourth of July and have never seen the restroom this NASTY

Neighbors two spots over were partying until 1:30 Sat night and had a bunch of guests adding to the noise. We love this park. The weather was windy and cold for 1 1/2 days. We fished all day off the bank on Saturday. All of our other experiences at this park have been great.

Loved camping here. It was spring break and the campground was full but you would have never even known it as it was so peaceful. We had a beautiful site on the water.

The couple at the gate were wonderful. Very pleasant to talk to and helpful. Can't say as much for the woman at the park across the lake.

This was a family Halloween experience because of the COVID restrictions in town. The camp sites and restroom facilities were well cleaned and taken care of. The attendants were very supportive and pleasant. Look forward until our next trip!

Was very satisfied with our stay at Oak. When we got there our electrical post was not working and we contacted the host station to let them know and they said that they would contact someone. That very afternoon a Park Ranger showed to repair the problem. Was glad that the problem was repaired the same day. The Park Rangers were very cordial and knew right away what the problem was. Will be returning to stay there.

Campsites and the park overall was very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were a bit dated though. Stayed at campsite #17.
