We were in site 6. Site 7 and 8 backed right up to our table and fire pit. So we had people on top of us. Also the site was very uneven and we had to work hard at ramping up one side of the trailer to get it level.

Nice park. Great host. But, be careful which site you choose if you have a larger RV. I was in site 7. Its plenty long but, hard to maneuver because of the proximity of the trees.

It's a nice, quiet little campground with a great view of Lake Waco. Clean with friendly staff. Will be back.

Midway is a good place for a short stay. Some sites are a little un-level. Its a little noisy being close to the highway, but you are close to Waco for food and shopping.

Nice spot with long parking area. View was very nice, sites were clean and easy to back into. If there were sewer connections at the sites that would be icing on the cake. Overall would return when in the area.

Great. I got there late not found the site no problem. Only thing missing was a trash can. If no trash can then a sign directly you to the dumpster location

The person working the front gate is always so friendly. We really do love the lakefront sites. The firepits and the covered picnic tables are great. It's also very conveniently located. The drive to downtown Waco is only about 15 minutes.

Probably the smallest COE campground I've stayed at although it is also the one closest to a city. Nicely laid out spots with a generous sized area for seating along with a covered table. The washrooms were clean although I didn't use them. You can access the walking trails from the main camping loop. Close to shopping and other amenities. I was concerned the proximity to the road would be an issue but eas quiet at night. You will hear activity from SpaceX but I don't think there's anywhere in the area that would and it doesn't last long.

Arrived Dec. 29, 2022. Gate attendant (wish I could recall her name) very welcoming & efficient. Campground well-maintained; clean, comfortable & safe environment.

Was a wonderful spot to camp.The water level was really low in the lake. So, we didn't go fishing this time around. Nice evening was great to walk around the whole park and just enjoy the night air.They have shower house and dump station too.Will return when passing through.Thanks Midway!

At the gate it says, "If we're not here, proceed to your site and check in in the morning" which seems very reasonable. However, the reality is that if you arrive late, the gate is locked, and no one has the code, and you will be forced to boondock on private property or along a busy highway until they decide to open the gate in the morning. Seems like there is a better way to serve guests than turning them away because they arrived past an arbitrary time. No info provided on Recreation.gov about a late arrival procedure. Gate code could have easily been shared via email for late arrivals.

Outstanding value at these Texas US Army Corps of Engineers campgrounds. Well maintained and clean sites with stable, clean power and water at the sites with great views. Very helpful staff to greet us and help with relevant information on arrival. While our site was without sewer hookup, the dump station functioned well and was easily accessed. Great location in Waco with proximity to all things Magnolia or Baylor.

A lovely campground. The gal who checked us in was so very helpful to answer our questions about the area and the camp. We were right on the Lake Waco with grand sunset views. So peaceful. Very quiet. Convenient off the highway. Level concrete campsite. We went to the Silos in downtown Waco, took a ride around the city on the FREE shuttle bus. The bus driver was so friendly and played tour guide for us around Baylor University and the city of Waco. We also went to Waco Mammoth Ntl Monument, what a find !! So interesting to think mammoths roamed this area, a must see ! The river walk was also a must see ! Loved Waco !!!

The site was very clean and very long so our rig fit with no problem. The campground was close to town that was a big plus. The staff was very nice and very help full with local attraction.

Easy access off Hwy 6. Absolutely gorgeous campground especially lakeside sites. Level. Well maintained. Very helpful and knowledgeable gate lady.
