Very nice park. Some traffic noise but not problematic. Sites by the water are a little close together; if you were sitting outside you'd be looking right at each other since the sites are slightly angled in order to see the water. Convenient spot to visit Waco. I'd stay there again.

I have stayed here numerous times.... I normally have a great stay here. This time there was no ranger at the gate and the camp host was not enforcing the rules. There was a site next to me with 5 tents, one across from me that had at least 15 people, what looked like homeless people in a van, someone in my spot when I arrived. So disappointed that they let this park go down hill, it was awesome for years.

We were there late September and were able to get a site right on the lake. It was very clean and easy to back into the large area. We had a wonderful view of the sunsets. The only downside was the mosquitos but that's anywhere in Texas. We'd love to go back!

Perfect weather, only issue we're squirrels dropping pecans all over our camper, and camp sites. Perhaps animal management in store.

A nice park. Lots of trees/shade. Easily accessible from I-35. A small row of full hookup pull through sites.

Spacious campsites with easy parallel pull-through sites. Quiet and clean park. Covers weren't up over the picnic table shelters when we visited. We rented a Craigcat at Frank's Marina and had a good afternoon on the lake.

Campsites 6, 7, & 8, are extremely close. There was a loud party across the road from us, cars parked everywhere, and very loud music. The campsite was very clean and raked.

Very friendly gate staff. Things can get a bit crowded on a summer weekend. During the week things are calmer.

need to have access to return after closing time-----other COE have keypad entry for 24 hour access---helps to promote involvement in local activities and helps economy also

Park is fairly quiet with views overlooking the lake. Close to Waco/Woodway shopping. A few sites are set at awkward angles where campsites kind of bleed over into the next site. Other than that enjoyed our stay.

We went there and while we were driving up a woman was tossing her dog out of her car. We stopped to rescue the pup and she then turned her car around and “helped” find her dog.
We asked to take it from her but she was unwilling. The pup was scared of her. The pup ran to me a perfect stranger. So sad. After that, we tried staying there but it had such a dark presence we had to leave. So in reality, we don’t really know because we never stayed the night.

It could be perfect but they don't seem to care much about cleaning. The site had bottles and cans in the firepit, charred bacon left on the grill, and the bathroom was disgusting. Good location but that's not enough. Take some pride in your park and clean it

We were one of the lucky ones our site was on the end which gave us wooded space on the left. But the sites are WAY TO CLOSE!!!
We had an issue with our reservation we thought we had one more day and we were just starting to eat our dinner at 7:30 and they came by and said we were supposed to have been out at 2:00 that day. This was obviously our fault for not double-checking the reservation but they should have driven by about 3:00 to make sure we were out. We had to pack up as quickly as possible so the other people could get in. There were no more sites the Park Host said. So he was obviously NOT DOING HIS JOB or they would have known earlier that we were still there. Bad experience all the way around, but beautiful lake.
